Milana Shaikh

L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Milana Shaikh is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and is nationally board-certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Milana graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), where she earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture with a focus in both Chinese and Japanese styles, along with additional training in Korean-style techniques and Dr. Tung lineage acupuncture.

Milana was selected for several specialized clinical internships to complete her training, the most impactful of which was her rotation at Cambridge Health Alliance. Working in a hospital setting gave her the opportunity to collaborate with allopathic physicians in treating complex inpatient cases within diverse populations—work she found both stimulating and rewarding. She completed her clinical rotations at the Acupuncture Treatment Center at MCPHS with a focus on the treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

Milana’s path to acupuncture was shaped by a lifelong passion for healing. Originally from New Jersey, she began her journey into wellness as a certified yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner in 2018. A background in horticulture and agriculture further strengthened her nurturing approach, allowing her to bring a grounded and holistic perspective to her practice.

In the clinic, Milana’s treatments blend acupuncture and herbal medicine with energy healing, offering a warm and integrative approach tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Compassionate by nature, she is dedicated to helping her patients find balance and lasting well-being. She has a particular passion for treating mental health conditions—especially anxiety and depression—as well as women’s health concerns and menstrual disorders.

Outside of her practice, Milana finds inspiration in hiking, jewelry-making, and pottery—creative outlets that reflect the balance and artistry she brings to her work.
